I have done a few threads on this car. After thinkin a little about it I decided a complete build thread might be ain order. I really loved the build on deaths doorstep and i go to it often. I just thought someone else might get some joy out of seeing mine..
First came my best shot at a dragmaster style chassis.

Then it came time to trim 16 inches from the length, 4 inches from the width, and to take 6 out of the top.

After putting it together I realized it needed something a little different than the hemi, besides I needed the hemi for the willys gasser.A dual quad 409 seemed to be a natural choice. The 348 is just a mockup motor.

Now it is really strting to evolve into something. So naturally I wanted to make the body flip like some kind of carnival ride.

At this point it became evident that this car would be a late 60s show rod. the ass was lacking, so into my attic I went. And I found the perfect cyclopse taillight. This also helps to date the car in the era I am hoping for.

The firewall has turned into a big job. Make it seal, function, and flip up with the car.

Hey Jim, there's a plastics place on Market that can probably get you the plexi you need. They advertise sheet and rod in all sizes and colors. It's on Market, just north of Francis on the west side of the street.

You sir are one very sick individual. I hope you are never cured.

And I would like to see you, Bass and Littleman team up for a one off build. That could qualify for an epidemic of pandemic proportions.

Thank you. I would be so honered to do a build with Bass, and Littleman. To be honest I have often thought of how great it would be to be able to work along side many of the HAMB greats. This place has a zillion guys that just rock!

I spent all day with an angle grinder, d.a and and my mig welder. I just wanted to get rid of any and all imperfections in the body. Not an easy task in a car that has been cut into over 30 pieces. the passenger side now looks like new metal. I am stoked. Tommorow is the drivers side

Drivers side was a little harder. This side was smashed real hard when I got it. also the body sat on this side in the woods for ever, so it was a little thin in some spots. All of that aside, it looks ready to rumble.

    Jim,
That thing looks awsome! I like how you made the body tilt. Do you have any more pics showing how you did that? Love the engine choice, I am a w-engine fanatic. Great job.
