Anybody got any ideas on adpating a 53 olds steering wheel to a 55 plymouth steering shaft? i have both wheels and thought about pressing the coupler out of the plymouth and putting it in th olds wheel but, i dont want to ruin my 55 plymouth wheel. Are there adaptors out there that will work (even if some mods need to be done to the apaptor)?

I have put an 61 Olds wheel on my 57 Ford pick-up years ago. What I did was cut off the Ford shaft and graft on the Olds shaft, below the top bearing. I butt welded it and then slipped a collar over it and plug welded that. No problems at all.

  3. Yep. No adapters. You'll have to make something up.
