Hello, I'm having trouble installing a steering arm (hoop style).I'm using 39 brakes, after I install the arm through the backing plate I cannot put the nuts on because the grease catcher. Are there special nuts for this or do I just remove the grease catcher.

You could also probably use the nuts usually called "Jet Nuts" by racers...very small hex on a flange that forms the pressure surface. Gets rid of the protrusion of the hex corners entirely.

See, That's why you're on the big bucks Bruce.

I left my grease catcher thingy out but I wasn't happy about it. Now I can put it back in. So simple.

I just use the spindles that Ford forged a real steering arm onto...no muss, no fuss.
