Just to reinforce the cross steer plan, I had my '29 on US 131, and I-94 yesterday and today in Kalamazoo. Heavy construction on 94, irregular, lane changes, uneven lanes. 70-75 mph. One hand steering. No issues. I disagree heartily with some who say that hot rods are inherently poor handling and dangerous, and to be traditional we need to overlook that for "the look"

    That's a 625.

Thanks for the clarification, on the box. I found this Saginaw, early take out from a conversion. However the seller does not know from what. Been on a shelf at a GM dealer for a long time. Priced right. Casting number is 5672781.
Looking today for specs on it...

Not surprising, everyone's definition of a "little" covers a wide gamut. Awake is one thing, scary is another :)

Something does not add up in the backstory. I am not aware that the 525 was in a Jeep.

That part number, on the other hand, is a 525.

the back story on the jeep boxes is that a friend had 6 of the boxes which were new take offs he had given to him. He gave us three and my buddy has installed them in his last three A builds. We were told that they were from a Jeep circa '85. Napa ran the number and ordered pitman arms for him, said they were used on '85 cj7's. It is a 6 1/2 turn box, here is a pic for reference
