Steering Box I.D. Help

  3. You sure? i just looked at one and it didn't look like that.

    That steering arm connection is a little earlier I think, like early 50's Ford.

    I just looked at a 57 Column, similar, but I think yours is earlier.

    Not sure what it is, but I do know that it's not Mustang.

    The part number for the housing and the replaceable ball and component tie rod end say Ford commercial vehicle to me.

    My apologies. this one is on Ebay. States '58-'59 Ford. Same??

  7. The replaceable ball, or component steering end was used on 52-59 Passenger cars with standard and power steering.

    I still think its 52-56, but the bolt holes on the one side are throwing me off.
     
  8. I really had no clue, went to e-bay and looked at those mustang ones and didn't think it looked like that, it does look like the 58 one kinda.
     
  9. Did they cut off the one flange on the right side and drill another hole?

    that is what is screwing me up.

    It could be the 57 or 58 box then. The 58 is a better box than the 57.

    58 and later box has 3 bolts on the adjuster cover. 57 Has 4.
