After chiseling all the dried up grease and dirt off it looks pretty decent but whats it from ? Has a big sturdy square mounting face with four holes to the ch***is. Steering wheel is 17 inch with slightly bent spokes and has a single fixing key, not splined.. BTW, it came from U.S.A.
So thats a DPCD logo then. Never knew that . Live and learn . I did find a pic of a Dodge PowerWagon steering wheel that looked the same. Could that be a clue for the sturdy mounting plate ?
I won't say it... I won't say it. Like hell I won't... It's ALWAYS a Dodge (see what I did with the McClintock thing there?)
After a bit of a google search i found a U.S. company that sells PowerWagon , PilotHouse and JobRated spares with mention of the steeringbox part number 14000 . Could,nt find an actual pic like mine though so i,ll leave it at that. This actually found it,s way to The Netherlands in a funny way. I was visiting my mate in Miami and he had a leaking waste disposer in the kitchen but could,nt get into the crawl space under the house. So i crawled in and came out with the steering box, wheel and column . No other car parts under the floor . Threw it in a crate of parts i had ready for shipping and now it,s here. BTW, after some more cleaning the lower end of the column tube is painted military green.
another source for info and parts on that box is John at Midwest Military. And, I know for a fact he is sending a container full of jeeps and parts to Holland next month
