Customs Steering Column '62 Bird

I have a 1962 T-Bird with the slide away steering column. My question is; can I swap out the column for a tilt column? It seems to be straight forward, as the column swings at the steering box. As I've aged, it is getting harder to get behind the wheel. Dieting is no fun, so I'm looking at modifying the column. Any help would be appreciated.
