Steering column, how long?

I'm in the market for a steering column for the 31 A coupe, I have no Idea how long I should be looking for, I see a lot of after market one's at 32" would this be a good length? thanx

 

Hang a piece of tubing or even a broo^^ handle where the colu^^n goes and hold the wheel in place where you want it and then decide how far you need it to go past the firewall and ^^easure the length you need. Then go fro^^ there.
