Hot Rods STEERING WHEEL MOUNT HELP

I have a Speedway column that takes a 3 bolt type steering wheel and looking for an adapter to put on an original type splined steering wheel. Do they make an adapter?

they make adapters to go the other way....3 bolt wheel onto splined column. I've never heard of one to do that. How about getting either an original splined steering shaft from an old car, or a 3 bolt steering wheel?

 

I guess if you had to, you could make an adapter pretty easily with a round piece of 1/2 or thicker plate (like a big washer) and a cut-off spline section of whatever spline you need to fit the wheel you want to use. You'd need a lathe, and the center bored section (not all the way through) would have to be large enough to clear the nut on the 3 bolt adapter, which you might be able to recess some, weld the spline section centered on top of that making sure the splines are aligned correctly in relation to the 3 bolt pattern, and then there's the problem of coming up with a good transition cover to the column. Maybe you could sell / trade the column for what you really need.
