Steering Wheel Resto, any references?

    A long way from home but Pearlcraft here in Australia do a great job.

    I do believe they have had a lot of work from the USA,but now the US dollar is in the doldrums it may not be as attractive.

    They did the wheel on my 48 Hudson

    Pearlcraft does great work and very nice folks. If you want the best though, look up Quality Restorations in CA. He is the best there is, and his prices reflect his work. Done a 57 Olds wheel for around $3500 last year.

    Icing is a type of bondo/filler that is very smooth, like cake icing. sold at most places that sell paint.

    Icing, again. It will fill the hairline cracks, then sand with fine paper _(320 or higher) and paint. Will be as smooth as your baby's bottom.
