We are repairing/restoring a 62 impala wheel for our A coupe. We have filled the cracks and sanded the wheel. Now it is time to prime--Which primer works best on the black rubbery substance the steel part of the wheel is molded with,Auto epoxy? urethane??? We will be using urethane auto paint for the top coat. thanks, Dale

thanks for the replys. I think I will use the epoxy primer also. It seems that epoxy "sticks" to just about anything.
