Changing the steering box in my roadster, asked questions and did some homework and was told a reversed Corvair box is the ticket, cool deal. Shopped around and thru Speedway got their box, pitman arm and a new drag link. The box in the car was a wore out f100 box set up for traditional steer on the inside of the body, (the guy I bought it from was short, I'm a lot taller). Removed old box, fixed firewall and cowl, made a bracket, mocked up new box to run on the rail in front of the firewall traditional style also ( I have split wishbones), tacked it in place, hooked up new steering column and tried it out. What the hell? It steers backwards! Left is right, right is left. What the heck did I do wrong? It sure looks like a bunch of set-up's I've seen. Forgive the stupidity of a fng.

Flip the piman arm so it points up instaed of down if you got the room. Don't put the drag link at a crazy angle though.

Has the box you intend to use been reversed? Is the steering arm pointed up or down? Either of these conditions being incorrect will cause the steering to be reversed.
