Jeeeez, me too! Normally my spelling is spot on. or maibie ai woz nairvous cuz mai boss woz in frount omme...this is gettin old already btw, and sorry for 100th hijack mate!
Since I brought up the ABC icon, I can tell you that at work I run XP Pro with Internet Explorer 6 and it shows up. At home I have XP Home and IE 6 as well, shows up. New laptop has Windows 7 and IE 7 and shows up there too. As for the dreaded Death Wobble (spelled correctly) I think someone brought up the wire wheels and the need for the spacers for them to seat correctly and it also looks like the offset of the wheels could be playing havoc. As for calling it Axle Tramp, I always knew that as to be another term for rear axle hop under extreme acceleration resulting in the need for traction bars. I think I saw Axel Tramp and the Deth Wobbel's open for Y&T along with Poison in the 80's
Spell checkers however don't catch correctly spelled wrong words. Could get fired reading this at work. Funny stuff.
Roger (@40StudeDude) ... FYI ... my name isn't Brandon (that's @hemi) ... I'm Todd (@HEMI32) ... the computer I'm using right now is running Windows XP with Service Pack 2 and the Internet Explorer 7 web browser ... and the "ABC P" icon is clearly visible:
This has been a neat thread for me. I learned how to right-click to check spelling. I wonder if the original poster got his answer? I bet not. Bummer...
Oddly enough, there ARE people to whom grammer, spelling, the nuance of the language we use to communicate, are important. If I can't make myself understood to you, communicate in a clear way what it's important enough to speak or write about, then there's no language. to uthers it dont not make n o defrense bnowhow an ahm gon bak owt tothe gurage to make sum thinlgs to get redy for a big cahr sahow and drive int he trhiabn to Lan;scing. Sincerely Brian
Ahhhhh Todd, my apologies...but I do have an excuse that works for me all the time now --I'm old...!!! Hemi is Kirk's sidekick. Had someone told me waaa-aay up front that the little "ABC icon" was ONLY on the HAMB "Reply to Thread" mode...I wouldn't have questioned it, nor spent hours (OK, a couple of minutes) looking for it (I've been over my toolbars, on both computers, many times). But now that I've seen your 'pikshures' and have this thing in "reply" mode...sure as hell, there it is... Isn't communication a wonderful thing...??? Thanx for pointing that out... Agreed, 100% ...and I still like that saying "I'm into cars, not grammer." Just goes to show you how important spelling, punctuation, and proper grammar is...if you ask a question, and you get flamed, you should know right away that your statement should be looked at (proofread) again. I would have twice the number of postings if it weren't for my terrible spelling. By the time I finish correcting all my spelling errors, five other people have answered the question, so I just delete it and not post. This is how it looked 30 minutes ago before I corrected it. I wood hav twise the numer of postings if it wernt for me terible speling. by the tyme i finesh corekting all my speling erors, 5 utter peeple have answred the ?, so I jus dalete it annot post. Glad I got that in before the thread was closed.
I don't have that ABC speller thingy ether ... at least i have spell check on the computer ... DID we ever find out what his problem was ??? BESIDES HIS SPELLING ?? i can't believe that he spelled that bad ... sure hope that his wrenching isn't as bad as his spelling ..no wonder he got pissyy ...
X100000000000!!! Man, I have to comment; my brain is going to explode from trying to comprehend this post. Dude, you think you're just getting picked on? If you build like you spell, let me know when you're on the road so I can get off the streets. What is it about what Brian and others are saying to you is so difficult to understand? These kind folks are trying to help you help yourself, and you just think they're nitpicking? If you think this isn't important, go fill out a job application with that in mind. "I'm in a hurey" is not an excuse, even for something as simple as spelling. "Is that bolt tight?"-"No, I was in a hurey". See what we're getting at? Be it cars, or anything-take the time to make it right and you will always be better off in the long run. Do people think that eventually we'll just give up on the english language, alphabet, dictionaries, etc...? I just don't get it man.....I'm on this earth to live, learn, evolve, and get the **** off this planet(bill hicks RIP). Whoz wif mee.....****.Dat be contajeeyous.
I read the death wobble thread that was first posted and remember it, and I have been wondering what the fix was going to be. I saw a lot of very good advice offered, and would like to know what, of those tips, this guy had used. I hope he comes back and tells us what he has done so, maybe when I build my A I can avoid that possible problem. This is the funniest thing I have read in a long time, you guys really crack me up! Norm
Oh but Roger, I did - "Don't you have the little ABC with a check mark on the top of the reply area? " post #10
Isn't the HAMB great... you can learn about the deth wobbel, spelling and grammar, spell check and hotrods too.......... and have a good time doing it........
Apparently, HRR, it didn't register that it was on the "Reply to Thread" and NOT somewhere on my desktop toolbars... NOT only must everyone of us spell correctly, punctuate AND read...but comprehension runs a very tight second place... Thanx for pointing it out... R-
Doug, come on mannnnnnnn.....it's *They're* still around, for chrissakes! I apologize.....just had to do it..... CB
After six pages I guess the bottom line is; That you're too damn "busy" to spell check (virtually every web browser has one, even if you can't find the one the HAMB provides). That you have no interest in using or learning correct grammar, (try grammar girl http://grammer.quickanddirtytips.com ), or syntax in general. That you have no interest in making your questions succinct, or complete, showing no respect for those trying to help you. That you deserve to go off in your huff, without the answers you seek, when we enjoy a little humor at your expense.
