These words are so true.Things don't have a personal touch anymore because we have become a cyberworld. The friendships i have formed in my life are the greatest ***ets i have.Friends are the best and i have made some lifetime friends because of cars.Just the help and spending time together and bouncing ideas off each other is worth more than anything money could buy.Now get outside in the garage and do something constructive or drive your hotrod. Thanks to Ryan for creating this great site for us hotrodders to communicate.See ya. I am one of those guys that hate a phone ! My wife made me get a cell pre paid phone due to I hunt & fish a lot but have a serious back problem . I never know when it will go out and when that happens I can't do anything due to the terrible pain . I hate to see people driving all over the road and not paying attention to what they should do . As for the Internet , we wouldn't be doing this now if it wasn't for Ryan and the Internet . As for video games I own every game system that was ever made except the PS3 ! The bad thing is I don't play them . Go figure . I would rather be doing anything out side than most anything else . I love the outdoors and everything that it can bring me . As for friends the most I have is on here because all of my friends have p***ed away to early and my closest friend lives in Florida and if it was not for the Internet , I would have never found him . We are planing to get together with our families after 29+ years ! Due to my health problems It is very hard to make friends and my neighbors all work and have some strange lives themselves . I am the only car guy that I know of around here except one . I spend as much time with my wife of 26 years because you never know when today is the last time you will be here ! Anyway I am really looking forward the the Showdown this weekend and hope to meet some fellow HAMBers there that I only know on the HAMB site ! Always live life as it was your last day on earth and never go to be mad at your spouse and children ! Enjoy life for what it is and drive your Hot Rod and enjoy the great outdoors ! See you all there ! Jim aka RetroJim
So true, I make every effort to go to local shows, and enjoy the day. Sometimes the most fun I have besides being with my sons or girlfriend is going to the car cruises. Take care fellow HAMBers. Thanks Ryan. Slim
I get about as much warmth at a car show as I do here. I was living in Orange county during the rat rod explosion. I've been into cars since I was 8 years old. That doesn't matter if you don't wear the right costume though.
I drive my '55 to work, then Im on the HAMB, drive my '55 home, work on my '34, take my '34 to shows, cruise nights....back to the '55 to go back to work..hahaha...WELL PUT, this is a great site and I p*** the time on here while working...computers do need an ***hole shocker like a punch in the nose...hahaha just read my personal statement...the TV rots your brains...the computer rots the rest!
Great post ,just last night I went to the local cruise night for the first time this season and had a great time seeing freinds that I had'nt seen since the last one I attended last fall .Most of whom I have met at the that same cruise night over the years.
