Looking for info about my 1948 GMC Stepvan and I stumbled on the Vintage Stepvan Post & thought I'd died and gone to heaven. OK what I really thought was, "I'm not the only freakazoid so twisted I think an old bread truck has possibilities! There's a whole asylum of us!"
Mine gets lots of attention on the road. The thing is so unusual that few people know what it is. To me it is like taking my shop to a car show. Mike

Got one myself! A '78 Grumman Olsen Holsum Bread truck. Has a Ford 1 ton running gear with the 300 c.i. straight 6 in it. I'm making a bike hauler, camper out of it for the LSR events. So far it's stock.
I have a 78 Olson Kurbmaster Jr. I removed the 292 six and SM465 and installed a mild 350 with dual exhaust and a Turbo 400. It is a short wheel base 1/2 ton. when I get back from my overseas employment The drop spindles and coil springs, flip kit and c-notch go in.
