Bump 1937 Chris Craft Dash with MotoMeter Gauges This great vintage dash was used in wood boats in the 1930's. Made by Chris Craft this striking example harkens back to a bygone era. The dash is not perfect by any means and has a patina look. These old MotoMeter (MMG&E) gauges are becoming more difficult to find. Mechanical Water Temp Gauge 1930's MotoMeter Mechanical Temp Gauge. The gauge works as it should! See video of the capillary bulb in boiling water. The needle returns to zero. Capillary line it 45" long. (3.75 feet) The needle is missing some paint (which you could touch up with a paint brush if you'd like) New Old Stock AMPS Gauge I found this N.O.S. Stewart Warner AMPS gauge in its original box! See photos of gauge sitting next to the box. It looks outstanding. Gl*** is crystal clear and numbers are crisp. MotoMeter 3 3/8" 4,000 RPM Tachometer This tachometer is very difficult to find. Do not mistake it for a Stewart Warner. This is a 1930's MotoMeter clockwise turning 4,000 RPM tach with a beautiful crescent needle. The br*** case shines very well. The tach will most likely have to be rebuilt. I have a contact of a guy that will do the work at a very reasonable price! If you choose, the gauge face could perhaps use a new silk screen. I can get you in touch with the person I use if you choose to freshen the face. MotoMeter 3 3/8" Mechanical Oil Pressure Gauge This cool 100 PSI oil pressure gauge works as it should, see video and photo. As you can see, the graphics on the gauge face are very faded. You could run this as it is, or send it out for a new silk screen. The oil pressure and tach are matching gauges with the very recognizable MMG&E crescent needle. Chris Craft Dash This 1930's dash measures 19 1/2" Long X 5 1/2" Tall at its center peak. It still retains all the threaded mounting studs on the back for all the gauges as well as the 4 main mounting studs for securing the dash. There is a larger ding at the top left (see photos) it measures about 1" long. Some of the chrome finish is missing along the perimeter of the dash, those areas present in a copper look. Custom Stainless Steel Engine Turned Insert The dash has a custom laser cut stainless steel insert for the face. The insert was custom cut at a professional machine shop. The insert was then buffed to a mirror finish, hand polished, then engine turned. It has an amazing finish that took a lot of time and effort to complete. The insert is lightly taped on the front of the dash.
