Ok, so I'm at our first local outdoor car show last Sat. and I'm talking to a guy with an excellent Model A pickup. He's running a Winters quickchange just as I am in my 32 roadster. I mention speedo accuracy when changing ratios and he says "look at this" and he tells me his electric speedo is fed by GPS (I know, not trad) and works great, not affected by gearing. I look into this product, is said to work with all electric speedos........ so I order one. Just got home from work, little box from UPS on doorstep, intend to install tonight.
Here's my question, my speedo is an electric 3 3/8" Stewart Warner which "accepts a wide range of ppm from 3,000 to 100,00" and this GPS reciever instructions says to set for either 8 or 16 pulses, seems like night and day to me, anyone have any knowledge or experience in this area???
Sure, I will contact the appropriate tech lines tomorrow, was just hoping to tap the HAMB knowledge base tonight.
