Did I do good? I don't know much about early gauges...but I would like to start replacing some of my wannabes with the real deal as I find them. Any idea on year? Guy told me it was out of a WWll plane, but who knows for sure.
I paid $125...I think that was ok?:D Either way I like it.

I'll say you did very good. Is that curved glass or am I just seeing things?

  6. On the back, they would be stamped in paint.

It looks sweet! I think 125.00 was not a bad price.

Just for its cosmetic condition, (esp. the curved glass) that's a very good price!

  10. I just got this one to match my SW gauges (going into the Roadster). Since the engine's a DeSoto Hemi, I thought the "Chrysler Marine" would be okay. Besides, 5,000 RPM is going to be my "Redline", my cruise RPM will be 2,000 or so anyway, so I didn't want an 8 or 10 thousand RPM Tach...

I guess thats gonna depend on if hes running a Banger .. Flathead .. Or an Old 301 inch Chevy that turns 8 grand.

Maybe he can tell us what engine is in the car.

Decent price for the Tach as long as you can use it, Would be a shame if it was going in a S/B Powered '40s "LOOKING" Rod Just for Eye Candy.

I'm running an old flathead w/ toploader. I think the tach will work just fine for my application.

The best part is I get to tear out the cheap SW Hecho en Mexico Tach that never worked since new. I'm happy.
