Technical Stewart Warner Temp sender.

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 57 Fargo, Sep 23, 2024.

  1. While talking with @Moriarity about electric temp gauges I found this one in my junk… IMG_5745.jpeg Also with Marks help I believe it was made in July of 1963. What I need is a sender for it or the resistance values for the original sensor, if no one knows I’ll start playing scientist and figure out what resistance sender I’m looking for. This I found on their website?

    I’m assuming a 280EA will work it just won’t read below a 100 which I’m fine with.

    Thanks!

I'd be tempted to connect it first to a 240 ohm resistor, and then to a 33 ohm resistor, and see if it registers 60 and 240 degrees

  3. This was my thought. I just thought by chance someone may know.
