b-t-w: farmerjohn, this isn't being said in a negative way, even though it probably will sound like it. way back up the thread it was stated that the stickers cost $0.40 each and that everything over that goes to the hamb. sounds to me like a good way to donate $4.60/sticker to keep the board afloat while getting something really cool for ourselves to boot.

i didn't see where it was stated that the $4.60 per decal goes to the hamb, sorry. However, just out of curiosity, how much does it cost appx. to run the Hamb per year? I just was curious since I added up all of the auctions since first of this year. lot of money there. anyhow, maybe it could go towards paying for next years server costs since this years should already be paid for I'd think. Anyway, I
have no problem supporting the hamb so I'll chip in. Thanks for pointing out the donation info to me. Dohh.

 

Hell, Ryan could make out like a big dog on this deal, at $4.60 per pop hamb fund, if even 1,500 of the 5,042 hamb board members buy just one decal, thats $6,900 dollars! That ought to pay the server costs for several years. That would be awesome, imagine if half of the hamb buys just one,
even better! $11,596 dollars, the best fundraiser yet to date!

I am sorry but I think farmer has a point is this now the OCC of traditional rodding??? $5 for a sticker that sucks we sell support stickers for $1 for the SF Rumblers support fund and we make a great profit its suppose to be fun and cool $5 aint cool and it sure aint fun in my opion its a rip off $2 is fair a sticker fits in envelope that is 1 stamp ??? soon we will see them at 7-11 next to the west coast chopper hats made in ????

Don't like the price don't buy one. I'm sure there were folks that didn't wanna shell out the coin for our HAMB drags cookbook for funding the food there but some did.


Seing that Ryan has been footiung the Bill for the HAMB forever and has kept it ad free and free to use I don't care who does a fundraiser and how much it costs or raises cause it's in the HAMB spirit. Ryan has turned down big bucks from some cable goons just to keep it real. I respect that and anyone that want's to support that.

 

to all the crying baby bean counters . who cares how much money is raised or how much any thing cost. we all piss away more then 15 bucks for any 1 dollar event shirt or what ever else we do. This will help keep this board going strong. no one is trying to hide the cost or profit if you want one buy one if not dont cry!!!!!!!!!!

Hey FarmerJohn and Slazzen, I'm the A-hole who set the price.. This is how I came up with it:

Sticker .40
postage .37
enevelope.03 guess?
if paypal is use add roughly a buck..
the rest goes to the Hamb. So at 2 bucks if paypal is used =.20
So if this were at a car show and hand outs,you would get rid of the postage,enevelope and paypal. What kind of sticker now?? Silk screened or printed off a desk-jet? If so cut a bit more.. Oh yea!! it's not the point, fund raiser. I'm sure your not thinking your raising money for your project but for your club SF Rumblers.. Great idea and it does work right? I apologize for setting such a high price, I didn't think it was out of line. I will help those who feel this is out of there budget, and I will donate some more..
I do belive your are missing the point of the FUND raiser.
It's a donation, just like anything you only give what your willing to give. If you go back and read a earlier threads I was asking for ideas and such, cost and help. I wish you gentalmen would have piped up. Also if you did read the eariler post I donated 200 stickers and the screen work, Oh yea Time, traveling boot ho , and myself and a bunch other Hambers offered to help. I hope to see your donations soon, just not the stickers...
