ok guys I think I got most everything working . gas gage is working oil light is working but I don't know about the temp gage it stays on the h when I turn the ing. on and it will move towards the c side but not very fast. I thought it would start at the c and go towards the h while the motor heats up. just wondering is that the way the temp gage in the 55 ford should work.

thanks again to all you guys I have learned a lot in the last week from everyone here.

    Thanks
    Bobby:)

  2. the temp needle parks itself at H. the way of thought back then was if there was overheating or gauge issues the gauge would read worst case scenario. so when you start the car the needle will slowly go down toward C then go from there.. i'm not sure what the actual temperatures are but as long as your needle is in the middle or upwards to 3/4 of the way toward H then you're good to go.
