STILL waiting for my CKD.....

Anyone else not get it yet????

 

It takes 3 or 4 emails every time to get mine. They are full of excuses. The latest one (dated this morning from Connie), says they are blaming Christmas for the delay.

 

same here, they say christmas, 911, post office checks big packages like theres. B.S. but what do ya do?

 

Same here. No CKD, and I've heard the same excuses. They definitely do not send all subs out at the same time. It's been well over a month since others have received theirs. Pathetic!

I haven't received mine and have sent two emails with no reply. Since I renewed with credit card I'm going to file a non-service protest to get my money back.

 

i dont suscribe, i buy all my mags from the hot rod company www.hotrodcompany.com . I got mags for christmas and they came in way before that!! Just word of advice. Nate

I've been waiting on my subscription every issue since April 2003. Nothing has ever come. I've called a few times and wrote a few emails. I always get excuses. I ordered it because it would save me a trip across town to find it. It finally showed up Monday, after I already bought the issue 2 weeks ago. Well, when it runs out again, I'll gladly waste the gas, time, and money to drive across town to find it, just so I don't have to deal with excuses.
Don't most magazines send out their subs BEFORE they hit newsstands?

 

i was thinkin my subscription had run out, so i renewed, and then orded a single copy of # 10- sure enough, yesterday my #10 arrives. will be getting at least one maybe two more copies- i hope it is a good one, worth reading 3 times

 

I subscribed, and got three issues instead of 4. When I email, they had no record of me subscribing, but said if I reup, they'd send the 4th issue (#6). I said send me the #6 and I'll reup. Needless to say it never came.

 

Finally got mine after like 4 emails.

I have to tell you, this is a little ridiculous.

1. They can't deliver the thing on time, no matter what.
2. The editing of that magazine is the worst I have ever seen. I know they are trying to keep it "core" but good God! They make themselves look like ignorant fools.

Heck, I even offered to proof their articles for free. You think I even got a response back? Heck no.

They really need to get their stuff together if they ever plan to be taken seriously and make some money.

All that said, I like the content and the "look" of the magazine. They better watch out though. GARAGE is taking all the suggestions we have made and adapting to their customer's needs. With a little more rod & kustom specific content GARAGE is going to put them out of business. Just a far better mag. when it comes to level of finish.

 

I haven't got mine yet, I don't think my friend has either.

Nope have not seen mine either as of yet. I would love to see it since my old coupe is featured in it. Hopefully sson. Metalshapes and I went in and bought a bunch from spike, with our luck those will make it here before the magazine that fills my subscribtion makes it here.

Well, then you expect the pages to be stuck together.

On a serious note; I got tired of the jerking around with CKD. After numerous attempts at contacting them to rectify my unfulfilled subscription I finally gave up. If they can't follow up with their subscribers, they don't deserve my money. I get mine from Spike when I see him so at least I know someone is getting paid. And yes, the pages are stuck together...

 

I can see why the pages are stuck together in you neck of the woods, its to dam cold up there todo anything else but stay inside and "read your magazine". I would turn into a ice cube up there glad I live in a sand trap.

 

Nothing in the mail box at my place. Last time I got 2 different issues at the same time.

Hell I'm a dealer and haven't got mine. I guess it's time to make the call, again...

 

as wonky as my subscription has been, they are still one of the best out there, i will continue to support them. what they're doing aint easy, and when i do get mine, i just cherish it all the more. roed and custom always get here on time, but i aint nearly as excited to read it

Finally got a reply for what it's worth.

"Thanks Robert we are working on the problem hope to ahve it fix my next
issue we will be shipping from the dealer in ky so we thing every person
should get them at the same time since we are in cal, and it takes them 5-10
day to get to us."

HELL YOU GUYS ARE LUCKY!
I recived # 10 and still feel like my mag is MIA...

What I mean is there is a lot less magazine in # 10 than the rest of my collection..

Did anyone else wonder why they printed in giant text and filled pages with*****...
the "Driver's seat" column was boring,
only 3 letters that look madeup in the office,
Just a couple of "feature" cars, liked the show write ups.


Anyone else feel like they were just trying to fill pages.
please editors if read my*****. fill the page with photos of cars not six pages of the same*****in artist... don't get me wrong I enjoy art and Ladys also but when I want a variety not just your budy drawing chunky******es....???
not going to renew my subscription. My money is green still so fix the mag or lose out!!!
