  1. 1932 must of been the beginning of graffitti on the trees LOL!

    Hi Bill,

    I enjoyed it greatly!

Just check up on photo number 7 looks like an 8BA style motor to me.

I love the old Ford Factory photos, they really set the scene.

  4. Good catch, thanks. I appreciate it. How that second engine photo got in there I'll never know.

One of the black and white photos indicating a DeLuxe Roadster is I believe a Sport Coupe. Different from a Cabriolet as the top didn't drop and had Landau Irons.

  7. Thanks, good catch. Good eye, you are absolutely correct.

...trouble is my nifty short code image rotator (thing that operates the slideshow) decided it would rather use the Ford Archive metatags (notoriously wrong) on the photos instead of the normal filenames. Grr.

I have gone in and (I hope) straightened that out. I appreciate your patience.

Thanks sincerely for your input. If only I had a couple of HAMBers on staff as proofreaders and fact checkers!

What am I missing here? Photo 7 shows a blue Fordor with it's original hood-no engine showing. Photo 18 shows an engine which appears to be an original model 18-not an 8BA.

  13. Not that you need my approval, but I completely approve. First, the grand historical narrative can carry forward with one less stock Fordor.

And From what I can see, the car's production flavor is still strong. It's not like you cut up a cherry original to make a Lil' Coffin clone.

I really like your color choices. They knew what they were doing when they designed the colors in the first place. Got more photos?

One additional thought, I believe that all the Deluxe Model B and V8's had cowl lights.

Nice ride! Hard to improve on the '32, but I believe you managed it quite well!

Funny, I don't ever remember Ford making a 32 with oil burning cam lobe eating planned obsolescence motors in them?

Thanks Edsel!!!----For NOT letting Henry stay with the boat anchor!

  20. Very nice! Thanks for sharing.

  21. Great point, thanks. And a good way to spot 'em at a distance...for the most part.

For example, you will sometimes see a 5-window with cowl lamps, and (except for some pre-production cars) that can't be. Just goes to show... a lot can happen in 80 years.

  22. You're perfectly fine. What happened was Fogger spotted the wrong engine in the slide show queue (thanks again!) and then I went in and fixed it before you viewed it.

If you're curious, here was the incorrect photo...Obviously a late model noting the distributor, air cleaner, etc...

    Thanks for your interest!

  23. Found another batch of original 1932 Ford factory photos (including some rare Phaeton and Fordor shots) and added them to the photo feature gallery below...

  25. Nice original Dutch 3 window with licence plate used in Holland before 1951

  26. I'm diggin' these original dueces, especially the original headlights & bar/ front clip styling. Back to the basics, refreshing- and gawd they're pretty on those cream wheels!

  27. Thanks. That's a very interesting photo. There was a tremendous variety in European body types, but this one looks like a straight US export Deluxe Coupe from the front.

Something seems to be wrong with all those photos. The cars look like they have fenders, and windows you can see out of. Surely they weren't built like that, were they?

    ;)

  29. Greg.....I would hope ya would never part with something as nice as that. I would be the first to kick ya in the nuts.....
