I have been looking for a while, but what is the stock gear ratio for Model A?

I thought it was 4.11, but i have also been told 3.77 is the standard.

    which is it?

    Thanks!

Well, you thought right on a select few Pick-ups & Cars. The stock ratio that most Model A's were shipped with was a 9-34 tooth R&P which makes that a 3.78 to 1. Some pick-ups (and supposedly a few cars) in the mountainous areas were shipped with a 9-37 / 4.11 to 1 ratio.

The high-speed ratio is a 11-39 which equals out to 3.54 to 1. There is also a 3.27 aftermarket ratio, a 4.33 ratio (used in early 1932 only) and a 4.56 & 4.88 compliments of our Model A friends from abroad cars. The only other one that will throw you is the early, early Model A's had a 3.70 ratio for a very short period of time.

I know this is TMI but I thought you would like to have a refresher.:D
