Just a few things to consider some have been mentioned, some not.
You'll need to relocate a clutch and brake ***embly and mount the v8 rod for the clutch. Your pedals as stock are mounted to the A ******.
You'll need to dimple the firewall to clear the fuel pump. Also very tight doing a head gasket in the car with the stock firewall.
I moved my stock column back 6 inches and shortened it six inches. Bolted back into the stock column drop no problem.

You'll need to either get a longer wishbone and make a mount for the ball, put a k member in ( which also facilitates mounting the pedals) or spilt the wishbone.
Fan clearance is tight. I used a trimed down fan with a 36 radiator in front of it however I used a 32 comercial grill shall so I don't know about the A shell.

I ran a 38 trans mated to a model A rear. I believe I did in fact use the model a clamshell and did use the model A u joint but I might be wrong about the clamshell. They're cheap enough anyway.

I upgraded to 32 mechanical brakes all around. They worked well but if you're not up for adjusting them to keep it stopped straight and true then mechanical brakes aren't for you.

Easy swap but not a straight bolt in swap.
I also chopped mine and tossed the fenders but that's besides the point.

There's pics of my old Av8 in my profile albums if you feel like checking it out. Its the black coupe.
    Good luck

Here's what the car looks like now. Almost done. Used a '46-48 Flathead with a '49-53 crank and lopey cam, S-10 T5 Trans from a late 80s S-10, S-10 rear end with 3.42 gears, 4" dropped front axle, Vega steering box, gm tilt column with '40 Ford wheel, coil-overs and 4-link out back, front discs, rear drums, no heater, '35 Ford wheels with 600/16 bias ply tires, duals with straightpipes.

    It's a slim 12 volt.

  6. I'll go just one step further in explanation for nunattax. That's looks like an AGM batt. They can be mounted in any position are about 1/3 the size of a wet battery with equal cca. Also have no fumes when charging and never corrode at the terminals. Shelf life is off the scale if there is Zero draw. Way Kool product.

Most closed minded statement I've heard in a while. Thats a beautiful car. Someone has thousands of hours into restoring that thing. Let's chop it, ditch the fenders, put a deuce grille on it, hopefully they'll feature it in Trendy Rodz with a tattooed Betty in the drivers seat.

    MZ,
Leave that f----r alone!! It looks *****in just the way it is. Your flatty, three speed, juice brakes idea is MONEY, do that and call it good!

  11. Guess that's why I'm on a on a Hot Rod site.
If I wanted to look at stockers, I'd be on Ford Barn more.

  12. Jeff,

It is hard to please everyone. The guys in the Early Ford V8 Club don't like the car in my AVATAR because of the driveline. I guess it it true, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder".
