I have a stock '32 grill insert that is in mint condition. No repairs, no damage.
A local guy wants it bad but I have no idea what it is worth.
    Any guidance appreciated.
    Thank you.

Mint ok I'm in the market for one also and I've seen a few grilles but absolutely perfect straight guys at the swaps are asking 150 - 400 . I did see 9ne for 600 the one for 150 had been straightened on 4 bars so wasn't quite perfect the one for 600 I p*** it up too much to me I wait for deals so I say $275 . To most here in Los Angeles that is low but I'm a deal guy like I said so tops I'd pay if I didn't have much of a choice is 400 so the median here 325 -350 . It all depends where you are and the condition of the other grilles in your area that's what controlling your market value . The most beautiful insert is 600 and it's in a nice big house on a hill so if I breaky rile and get it I would be the envy of all

I haven’t seen one cheaper then 200 bucks for banged up ones with missing bars here in the Midwest . I would believe 600 is a fair price and that might be on the low side if it’s that nice

Last year some guys stopped by my shop and one of them spotted one of my mint original 32 inserts sitting in the corner, when he left he was 1000.00 lighter. I also recently sold an all polished stainless Dales insert for 700.00. I've been a deuce grille collector for many years and find the market for a nice grille and shell to be in the 2000.00 area, I did sell a really nice grille and shell for 2500 to a restorer about a year ago. The days of the 200-300.00 mint deuce insert and nice 1000.00 grilles and shells are for the most part long gone.

If we were more patient to find something we need and less greedy to make a small fortune on something we sell, the prices would come down and the young rodder would be able to afford to get into the hobby (or the old rodder, for that matter!) But I digress...

Quality also sets price . Right now I have a choice of 4 32 grille inserts all 600 and under . Yes there are two original mintys for 1000 . Originals . Also my best value deal available is a nice solid and heavy gauge complete older repro grille for 225 . It's very nice actually excellent for 50 year old repro grille . I'm not a hurry need it now call the vendor and order it now guy . Some guys gotta have it now and that is where you come in . If the 225 grille is at the swaps next month I'm considering getting it is a 600 8nsert on the hill with my choice of two shells one an original shell at 800 and a repro for 450 both and insert are mintys . I'm at the swaps in SoCal at 6 am 7 latest that is my purchase strategy been that way for 48 years to each his own in where the money goes I have fun and save doing it my way

Plenty of bargains to be had at the swapmeets for early risers . I find it a challenge to find any 32 part at the swapmeets but you do. It may not be a grill but something from a 32. Funny as I have seen plenty of winters inserts for a few hundred bucks and never bought one of them ugly things:D

We loosing the answer here he asked for stock original .in the ***le of this thread . I can get the best one I've been able to find this year for 600 that's all I know aboutinty stock original . Others are in very good shape the 225 complete grille is repro . If I go up the highway to Ford Antique Parts yes probably 2000 complete but that's a lure to sell other stuff anyways . It ain't necessary out here it happens yes , hard up for a trophy in next weeks show ya it will sell . I got client get show fever too ya know man and when they in compe***ion for the same trophy it is a rich man's war
