I'd say that we need to remember this every time we post a photo of an old car or truck sitting out somewhere or even of our own stuff at our own place. That coupe or truck we show in a sitting an rotting thread may be what someone with less than stellar is hunting or thinks they can make an easy buck on. We love to show photos of our rods, customs and projects but we need to be careful of what shows up in the background. That mig or portable tig, torch and the tools in the background might be real interesting to someone within driving distance that is looking for easy cash.

Pfftttt... That look only says "I'm sorry I got caught".
Thanks to anyone from here that helped these folks out.
Glad folks got their car back, hopefully w/all the parts, too. Hope this'll help motivate the folks to get'er back on the road. :) .
Back when, this'd be handled by perp having his fingers laid out on a tree stump, & pulverized so's he couldn't use them to steal, w/an admonition that next time, "he'd feel real pain". I have *no* sympathy for thieves or crooks. Goes all the way to the Top! & of course, today's statues make this a non-event - & the thieves know it. Guessing iffen thief had gotten hurt on the property a-thieving, he would've sued - probably successfully - the land owners. Lots of things need a-changing...

Know what it's like having tools n parts, + also a car stolen, although car was long-distance in another state, & I never got to touch it. Have come to believe that the seller was involved. State won't touch him. Small (= no) consolation that I wasn't the only one, across several states & multiple countries. Guy has been heard to say, he's "surprised he's alive". Karma will repay him, w/interest.
    Marcus...

Or it's on ebay or similar already. I'm guessing it would be an easy sale for good money.

Glad the guy was caught and the car was recovered! Maybe this will light a fire to get the car back on the road. Looks like it has a lot of potential.

Well, at least he was smart enough to get caught stealing the "right" kinda car...he'd be feeling pretty stupid doing prison time for getting caught stealing a Frazer or somethin'.:mad:

^^^^^ Dunno where that one is but, there's one on Kennewick, WA Craigslist. Owner's asking $5,000 for it. I kinda like those bumpers;)

there's nothing i hate worse than a thief. it's very unlikely that he will go to prison as some are suggesting, off with probation more than likely, i swear half the people running around here must be on probation and there the ones you see on the local news every night. it's called job security

Well, there is far worse crimes than stealing to hate on. The old car is back to the current owners. Maybe now it will be made to run again. Or go to someone that can.

Glad to see the car was found!.... Hopefully the thief doesn't just get a slap on the wrist and let out! That seems to happen far too often these days......

The sad reality is Brandon probably knows the people he stole the car from, eventually he will learn or spend most of his life behind bars, jail bars that is! HRP

  16. He looks way too sharp to have gotten caught. Someone must have ratted him out.

that kind of thinking is exactly why these thieves get to thrive in this country. half of us work so the other half can steal from us

Wrong. It is a choice to do right or wrong. Laws do not stop wrong. That comes from within.

Just WOW ! why don't we pat the thief on the head , give him some money & tell him its OK .....
After a!l , there's worse things for him to do , & the car was just sitting there , unused , the temptation was just too much , he was gonna do the car a favor , right ?

  24. He looks like he could be rehabilitated. Couple million taxpayer dollars and he's a new man.
