Damn right! Not only that, you scream and holler that your $30,000 car was stolen everybody shrugs. You holler that your $300,000 car was stolen, and the news jumps in and makes it public. Maybe that is what helped get it back. Regardless of where he keeps it, does not give someone the right to steal it. If doing something dumb or careless is reason enough to have something taken from you, we would ALL have nothing.
Yeah, after reading that body shop thread and what a tough business it is, maybe the only way this shop owner could turn a profit was to bring hot cars in the back door and repainted/re***led ones out the front.
seems fishy it was so close to home and just under some sheets....honestly, I'm surprised it was still in the U.S.! I AM glad he got it back, though...you feel so violated when some puke screws with your stuff..but if it was in MY driveway in a trailer, it would have been barricaded in, or locked, or hooked to the truck and backed up to the house or whatever....seems like it was "too easy" to steal
Police had "found" several stripped vehicles in a neighborhood near a body shop and when this guys enclosed trailer turned up in the area too, they sent a guy in to get an estimate for some damage to his car -- guy saw in plain sight parts that had been stripped from other cars -- Police got a search warrant and raided the place --- in the back covered with a bunch of blankets was this guys rod -- He got it back this week --- One for the good guys
Another one gone -- in a trailer, in the driveway, with all kinds of locks etc http://www.norcal1320.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1195960172
