How bout a good public beating with a nice lumpy camshaft for the losers that stole the car? Is that considered politically incorrect? :D

Maybe the finger prints they got off the beer cans will actually lead to someone....

  4. Great news to get up to.
Guess this Hot Rod was to Hot to handle.
I hope the vermin who did this, die a slow horrible death.

    No where near Lethbridge, Alberta.

  8. My understanding is the thieves were caught and now Johnny Law or should I say Sgt. Preston will deal with them.

HOT DAMN!! As this story started to develop, you could kind of see a happy ending coming! The fact that it was being spotted heading east was a very good sign, amateur hour! WooHoo! Considering how most of these stories end, with the car just disappearing into a black hole, this is awesome! Gotta wonder what the hell the thief was thinking...

Thanks for keeping this alive, guys! My internet was out for 3 days and all I could think of was whether or not this car had been found.
    Great news!

    George
You are far too generous in characterizing the mental capacity of modern day thieves!

  14. Good News!
Oliver is pretty much North of Osoyoo. The Lethbridge siting was a hoax and was reported as such quite early on.

  15. Glad to hear it's been recovered. I hope damage is minimal. We need finger prints now and swift brutal justice.

Good news indeed. Glad to hear he's getting his car back, and it sounds like it's in good shape, hopefully undamaged.

  19. Man! That's great news! Now, if I can EVER get my model A pickup back. It was stolen winter of '05/'06 from Northern Oregon.

Oliver? Holy shit, that's only what 10-15 miles from where it was stolen from. Local guys no doubt about it? "Friends" or "aquaintences" being assholes. There better be some consequences for this. I hate even opening my garage door as I trust practically no-one unless I know them and even some of those are suspect! Happy for the owner. On a less serious note, I wonder if a "wall" preventing entry into Mexico would have deterred the owner as to not going there thereby preventing the theft of his pride and joy?

No doubt it was someone he knew, or someone who he's just met, and someone who knew he was in mexico....gotta be careful who gets in your shop.

  23. Between friends, we are careful about who we let into our shops and don't even think of bringing anyone over that we don't know. You don't even talk about what you see in someone's shop and NO taking pictures without the owner's consent.

Man, that's great news. And you guys have convinced me that I need to be more careful with my cars. I'm putting extra kill switches on at this moment.
