A Hummer,2 Hondas, and an Explorer. Did you ask him why he had to share that info with you? You'd think he'd want the easy catch-how many 409's could there be out there? And we all know that Hollywood is full of nothing but the most law-abiding citizens around. Give me a break!
If that's his entire case load, he has a lot of time on his hands. Does he know this car hauler guy? Just because he says the hauler belongs to that person doesn't mean 1) the guy isn't a scumbag stealing specialty cars on the side 2) the owner was the one driving it that night, not some scumbag employee making minimum wage 3) some scumbag relative who 'borrowed' the hauler. Was the hauler associated with any house on your block? Maybe a neighbor you know?
Might be worth looking into that hauler yourself. Address and what not. Maybe call and find out when he's making his next delivery...or the next time he's dropping off or picking off at the docks/train stations. as a customer you know? Maybe he's got the car in his wearhouse still...I'd think that's the case. Pay him a visit. Oh...and I think this thread should be stickied as well. Keep people aware of it until something happens one way or the other. You have those pictures? Probably be a good addition to this thread...maybe I missed them.
Pin pin pin... who's got a pin... sticky sticky sticky... who's got a sticky... I'm starting to think you're right Donnie, if it was a hot rod it probably would've been pinned right away!! Seriously, can someone ask Ryan directly to pin this thread? BTW Mike... were you able to see the ad and follow-up on that one in Long Beach?? Longroof
I've replayed this scenerio a million times. Don't ever let me find someone who has stolen what belongs to another man. I know for sure whoever it is will pay at least part of what I lost in 1967 when some scum cleaned out the shop where myself and 3 others kept our tools and race cars. Frank
If you can get the buisiness name of that trailer, it might be a start. Do they just haul movie cars or rent them out. If they rent them call them and tell them your a producer shooting a cholo lowrider movie/video and need a whole bunch of early 60's Imps for a cruising scene. Then see what they come up with.
Fuck tha police, the only way they'll find it is if they ditch the car. I havent seen anything in the 909 or 951 that resembles that, and I take notice to specialty cars. I'll keep looking.
I PMd both of our fearless moderstors, Ryan and Grimlok, about getting this thread stickied to the top... cross your fingers... Longroof
I hope you catch him. Word's dont describe the anger I have for low life thieves. I had a car stolen in my past. Unfotunately the cops didn't do SHIT. I hope you get your ride back in one piece.
btt I still have years of pent-up aggression from having the fastest car I ever built stolen. I hope she makes it back to you. For fun I steal cars from people who don't pay for them. I consider them the thieves. I thought we were on the trail of this scumbag. Check your PMs, I might be able to help a little.
