****less Mother****ers. Why can't people work hard and make an honest living like the rest of us, and build our rods piece by handmade piece untill we get it perfect, they gotta steal someone elses ****. If you find out who did it, Ill gladly come down for a collective beat down.

I think I'd crawl under a rock and die if that happend to me. Hope he catches the guy. He should just use this as a excuse to rebuild it.. Wish him the best with it.

The big Carlisle Pa. swap is coming up next weekend.....ya never know, they might bring some stuff up here to move it. I'll keep my eyes open. Of course, the sheet metal might already be a new color and on a new car.... Hell...29 years I've been driving my 40 and for the first time I'm getting paranoid about leaving it on the hotel lots at night.

Knowing Jim somewhat and Tyler very well I know Jim did not have anything to do with it!

I do have a strong feeling somebody local knew the car or was looking for the chance to grab a car like it for parts...the bodies on ol' A's and deuces are usally what guys are after and the body was recovered.

What modern car stealing s*** could do something with those fenders?

Who would take that risk for a buick six?

That stuff in around town someplace. I hope they nail whoever did it!

First: THANK YOU for all your support, Jim appreciates it and so do I
He's not too computer literate but his son is and I sent him a link to this
    thread.

As far as I know he is going to get the body back and probably rebuild.
The good news is he also has an A roadster that runs so he's not completley
out of a hot rod right now.

It still tears me up to look at that picture in the lot. I prefer to remember
seeing his headlights follow me to Bonneville in 2003. He drove the car from
Bonneville to Seattle, picked up his wife, then hitched a ferry to Alaska
for a week of cruising in that A Coupe with a teardrop trailer. Then drove
home across country back to Texas.

I'm a little more nervous about leaving my car in a parking lot now, but it's
not going to stop me from having fun. Besides I don't think many people
could fit in my truck in order to setal it.

I'll update this post when I hear more.

I am still scratch'in my head in dis-belief that not one person saw what was happening. Blows my mind. I guess this shows that alot of guys don't drive their kustoms or rods as much as they use to. If I had my way, I would drive mine everyday. The negatives though are gas (cha-ching), idiot drivers, and being stolen. I guess it is a plus to have a car all apart in the garage that is not EYE appealing for anyone to consider stealing. I hope in the end that you do find out who did this and well, you know the rest of what I would say. KNUX!

where did they find the body, in an alley, land fill site, abandoned in an old ravine?

pity to see a nice dependable old coupe abused in such a disrespectful way not to mention what the proud owner is going thru

It's pretty messed up that someone would go to the trouble of stealing and stripping such a sweet car. I always felt like, why would someone steal a car that stands out as much a rod or custom does. I hope he had good coverage. If one of my cars got ripped off I'd get nothing from the insurance. At least he has a solid frame and body to rebuild. That much a lone can be hard to find.
