Nothing says you can't post about anything post-'64 here, that limitation appllies specifically to the Cl***ifieds...those of you that think he shouldn't think he should post about a stolen Camaro here, think about that if YOU lose a post-'64 car...!

I hope you get your car back.

I think in this instance, with such a valuable car,an exception MIGHT be made.

That's a shame! Looks like a gorgeous car?
If we allow motorcycles,victrolas,boats,houses,airplanes...what's the difference with a raced Camaro?

Happens here all the time. My good friend's mint 86 Cutl*** ended up toasty-crispy out on the rez along with about 7 others two months ago. Cops followed the car to the boundary but wouldn't go in because of lack of back-up.

Let's hope the car doesn't get parted out.

We may not post photos or discuss that model except as a parts doner but a stolen enthusiast's car is a stolen enthusiast's car and there seems to be way too much of that going on lately.

I'd say that the theft target was originally the truck and the Camaro ended up as a bonus to the theives who unfortunately will most likely destroy it one way or another.

Damn!! I've had personal experience with a real 69 COPO and know how special they are...above and beyond the personal part of it.
I REALLY hope you find your car, and SOON!

FADED, i couldn't agree more!! Make examples of the *******s! This **** is getting way out of hand!

I apologize for violating your rules. I just ***umed car guys were car guys and there's lots of pairs of eyes on this site. It's not mine...the car belongs to a guy we know in Canada and hopefully it'll be recovered before it gets cut up. I know I'd be looking for some guy's '32 Ford or '40 Willys if I could help. Again I apologize. Moderator, please remove this thread.

If it was a daily belly****on car or if he was posting a Camaro for sale, then yeah OK bust on the guy for posting it here. but as far as a collector car goes, I don't care what it is, a stolen alert is better the more places the word goes out to. If it was one of my O/T collector cars then I would want as many people as possible looking for it. I think I am on pretty solid ground stating that every member on this board hates car thieves and thieves in general & would gladly help put these *******s behind bars.

IMO no need to apologize, you are just doing what most us us would do anyway in wanting to get the word out. I live in southern Ontario & the race team I crew on runs on the dirt on the reserve I will keep my eyes & ears open. I also have friends living down near Cayuga I will tell them to keep a lookout as well. Hope he gets the Camaro back. Stupid *****s that took it probably have no idea what they have as far as it being a COPO.

I seem to remember someone posting a stolen Mustang G***er a few days earlier and nobody was busting his balls. So why give this guy ****? Must be a weekend crowd thing.

Good luck finding it man, hope it's recovered in the same shape it was stolen.

Aug 15 1982 I had my 67 Camaro 396,4:10 12 bolt posi car stolen so I can relate.I hate thieves,I cannot understand guys who would jump a guys *** on a message board over his car not fitting in.Muscle cars are what got me started working on cars, that and 55 chevys.I love them all.I still have my 454 powered 48 Anglia and a 427 powered 26 T roadster to play with.Im affraid your car was stripped for parts, like I heard mine was.Good luck to you in your search sir,and If I hear or see anything down here in my neck of the woods,I will let you know.

Man sorry about your loss. I hope you find it soon.
My heart sank after I sold my 69 Camaro. I can only imagine how you must feel.

  27. My family lives near the Hamilton reservations, and I'm sorry to tell you that the Indians up there torch the cars after they've had fun with them.

    What did your insurance say?

the more the coverage on a stolen car the better the chance at it being recovered, and more pressure on the *** hats that took it..I think this should stay..its us against them in my book , why let a 69 or any year Collector car slip thru the cracks, because it isnt a pre 64 ride?
    dont make sense to me
If some one lifted my 68 Charger i would hope all you HAMBers would be out there looking for it, and i bet there is a large percentage of HAMBers that have interests in other year make and models of cars other than what is on this board, and would hope that their fellow builders and rodders would be on the look out for their O/T ride if it got lifted, I know I would

sorry bout the heist..I'll be lookin here
