Did any of you H.A.M.B.ers ever get the "skinny" on the final outcome of Skinnydennis's stolen flathead recovered live April 27th via Craigslist on this message board? I did a search & visited the old threads but didn't see an outcome posted...last I heard Skinnydennis said a fellow "Loosers" club member recovered it for him and they were "tightening the noose" but I never saw the final story. Maybe the Law told him to keep quiet on it till the whole thing worked it's way through the legal proceedings ?
The last post I read said he got it back and the guy who had it listed was being looked into for stealing it from the dock it was at.Or he was just out the engine and the money he spent on it. But he did get the engine back.
he got the engine back, but the story of how is still unanswered. probably till the police investigation is complete.
The "court system" works slower than the internet. I would look for an update in 3-6 months........anything said on the internet can be held up in court........so, I'm sure the 'lips are zipped' til' the scumbag gets locked and and the appeals get finished. Chris
Yeah..figured that might be what was happening. Let's hope we get the final word down the road..that sure was an intriguing story.
