Going to the Big 3 meet in Diego at the end of the month. Doubt the scum would be dumb enough to try and peddle the whole car but maybe they intend to part it out. Any unique parts or other identifying markings to look for? I know its a long shot and 99+% of the sellers at the meet are legit but you never know.

There are craigslist affiliated web services that make searching nationwide for a particular make/model easy. Here is an article that talks about many of them and rates them for effectiveness & ease of use:

Well, It has all three rows of seats in it, which is kind of rare. They are beige leather, with no holes or damages. The rest of the body parts are green patina. The car is bone stock, except it has a 235 from 1956.

This has got to surface somewhere, eventually. It is not like stealing a silver Honda Accord, changing the plates, and parking it a block away from where you stole it, never to be noticed. There's not likely more than a double-digit population of these left out there.

Point is, do you want your car back if it's stolen?

The next Pomona Meat Swap is March 2nd. I would doubt the whole wagon would be there but it's possible that some parts could be there but you really have to keep your eyes peeled with so many parts there.

 

Just meant nothings safe with out being under lock and key with a pitbull chained to it these days. Yes, cars were stolen, horses were stolen buggies were stolen. artifacts in the pyramids were stolen, but nothing like the guaranteed chances today. The thing is, today it's considered the owner's fault for not "properly locking" processions up properly more than the dishonesty of the thieves?! My gripe was with society today and the lack conscience! Now get your panties outa your butt crack and work on your comprehension! Holy crap.

 

I got my eyes open out this way. I picture it with a fresh primer job, new wheels and some new license plates to change the appearance and just rolling around..

If I read your question correctly..... "Bump" is just a term for when you reply to a topic. it makes the post go "Back To The Top". That is also where the "BTT" and "BTTT" comes from.


Olav, I hope you find your ride. I check back here and other social media every day hoping to find good news.

 

What has the Newport Beach Police Detective in charge told you about what they are doing? Have they contacted their fellow detectives in other So-Cal cities to check possible locations where a unique car such as this one might go and be hidden under a tarp? There is so much more that can be done other than just putting the car on a stolen list.
