Some one stole my good friends triumph chopper. the bike was a family heirloom it was passed to jim by his Grandfather. (thats why jim never changed the look of the bike). the bike was in Old town orange CA If you have any info to get this bike back it would mean the world to this guy. It was his only bike he has had the bike for 20 years. I will offer a reward for any Names or Help. Thanks for your Support.
This will get more coverage on the general chat area. Also might try the jockey journal. Hope you find it.
There is a reward for this bike Jim offered $500 (this is all the money he has in the world). Please keep in mind this is a numbers matching bike engine and frame numbers match. Most of the parts on the bike are NOT valuable. The sissy bar the honda taillight mount the vintage 6 bend bars and the rusty wheels wont bring much money. Jim made the seat out of a old jacket. The only way to get any money from this bike would be to swap out the engine cases and frame this is alot of work. Jim has offered to buy the bike back NO QUESTIONS ASKED!!!! send me a email if you have any info. thanks gor the support. [/COLOR]
Thank You to Everyone for their Support, the Bike has been returned! because we got the word out on every internet board craigslist and Forum, Flyers in every local Bar and the support of other Motorcycle riders i think the thieves must have given up. The bike was ditched a block away from where it was taken. That is right sometime overnight the bike was dumped in a local alley. The ignition wires were cut but the bike is basically all together. I will post some pics later. THANKS TO EVERYBODY.
Glad to hear the bike was found... now if we could just find the idiots that did it and let some of us discuss why they should not do this ever again.
Hearing you got the bike back makes me feel like dancin' - not much does that, anymore. I'm glad there was not too much damage. Kind'a reminds me of my old "Trumpet", back in the early sixties. Ya' need to find the bastards, and take a big hammer to their digits.
