Everybody and their mother wants a gennie Ford 1932 - 1936 3W coupe, but they are too dang expensive, right? Take a risk, build a coupe from some other manufacturer- Preferable one that's out of buisness- You'll have real vintage steel, and something off the well beaten path. Probably bought for under $20k.

    Look at these gems:
    1933 Franklin 3W coupe!

    REO Flying Cloud 3W coupe:

1935 Caddy (looks a little beat)

1937 Husdon Terraplane (Its a 5 window, but still cool)

damnit to hell, I want that caddy. I LOVE mid-30's GM 3W's, they are so sleek, stylish, damned near perfect streamline modern. That hudson looks like a sectioned 39 ford, with a better grille. I like fords, I really like Model A's, but they were cheap go-carts compared to what else was avaliable.

    good post, good point...

At least at first glance the bodies on the reo and the franklin might have come from the same supplier. The flare around the rear of the body and the rear wheelarches is very similar. Can't get too worked up over the other two, but I like the 32's.
