    I'm new...
I have been building a '59 chevy fleetside pickup for the past 5 years... Started by learning how to weld, get stuff for cheap at swap meets and learning how to read a lot of tech mag articles and web pages before and during working on the truck.

    Some details:
    -1959 fleetside
    - Cut 8" from the rear of the bed to make it look "right"
    -Smooth firewall
    -one piece dash no holes
    -custom radiator shroud
    -'79 camaro front clip
    -triangulated rear four link
    -boxed
    -bagged
-got lucky and won a killer engine at a car show in a raffle
...tons more but you get the idea I have put a ton 'O work into this thing I am hoping on having it done in time to go to Lonestar roundup this year...

...it is really, really green! I am going to get some white metal flake shot on the roof and bedside spears later.

Do you build custom aircraft cabinets...or is there a lot of them here? I don't meet to many.

    Welcome to the HAMB!

Nice looking 59, can't wait to see it all done.
I'm working on a 55 big window stepside pickup.
    Did you take welding classes?

No I didn't take any classes, I read a lot of mags and web sites and then started practicing on test pieces. Then when I felt I was dangerous enough to start messing stuff up, I dove in.

Cool, I just bought a Lincoln and I will do the same.
Practice first then I'll do some patch work on the 55
