About a month ago a guy calls me and tells me of an old Chevy thats in a storage unit and the owner wants to get rid of it. I tryed several times to contact the owner no good ...until this weekend I get a call and we set up a meeting time. When I get there its buried in a very small storage unit and the only thing you can see is the grill. After 2 hours of moving stuff...the car finally was able to see daylight! I am very pleased...as everything is there minus the engine/trans. There is no rust thru on the floor boards, Pass door has had some repairs below the belt line, and the pass door glass is cracked. We settled on a price and I picked it up Sunday! I have a couple ideas of how I want to go with this. Havent completly decided yet. Below are pictures of the adventure. Special thanks to my Brother from another Mother Raul!! BTW.....there are two 66 Chevy II `s in there also....I didnt ask about them as I dont have room or the need for another car. Raul
After riding in my roadster this weekend and cruising to San Marcos in the 106 degree weather, I was thinking of going late model 5.3 v8 with OD trans and ac.
Wow and since it has no motor or transmission I suggest you install a 351 W ford with a AOD trans and ford 9 inch rear. Thats the ultimate set up for those old shoeboxe's and it will carry the load and the biggest AC you can put in it with much power to spare. Thats how I see it--LOL
Well let me tell ya you just dont have connections with a real mechanic cause it will fit and to top that off I did a 55 cad eldo motor in a 54 so although tight it worked!!!!
looks really nice... what is this 5.3 you speak of? I only speak cubic inches when it comes to old cars.
