Just getting that car out on the salt and screaming across it after passing tech while maintaining traditional parts AND not having it look like a catalog for OSHA compliant products or squeaky tous is a win for the whole sport. I hope you set a record but, either way you've already set some inspiration.

 

I don't mind keeping track of parts but if I kept track of my labor even at $10 an hour I probably could buy a couple of new houses.

Rain during speedweek is about as surprising as it being hot in July. Doesn’t take much change to have the track back in action I wouldn’t count anyone out just yet.

Hey guy obviously you have heard by now about the rain. I started coming out here to the salt a long time ago and while it’s never happened like this when I was here but we always knew it was capable. Its part of racing here. Sure I’m bummed but shit I know how to have fun and not let it bother me. We are here and staying with hopes till we have to leave town. Holding out hope for a chance to run my car… shit I gotta get a run in so we can have a winner…
My plan at this point either way is to come back for world of speed.
I seriously want to thank everyone for joining me in this silly guess my speed. Just thought it’d be fun. And a big Yes “Stormin Bonneville” is becoming more and more appropriate but it ain’t gonna stop me.
side note for those that do not know we filmed the last year or my car build and retry much still filming this journey. Its about 8 episodes now on MadfabricatorsTV over on YouTube. Maybe check it out if you got a minute. Hoping for dry salt! I’ll update again when I get a chance… Luck
