Speaking of running in a class that requires a single carburetor, this was included in a pile of parts I got from an old stock car racer.
Incidentally, for anyone who wants a McGurk intake but hasn't been able to find one, I see that a place called York speed shop is selling new reproductions.
I ran across the valve cover not too long ago. Interesting to see the intakes available. Not sure how I feel about that- I'm glad to see them, but also think I'd still prefer an original, and could probably find an original for a better price.
Yeah, luckily, I'm pretty well covered on McGurk intakes. I find it odd that they polished the intakes, but not the valve covers. Most people would rather have it the other way around.
I would like to acquire one in that style. I have the square blocky style McGurk dual. Had an opportunity to pick one up a few months ago for obscenely cheap, but had other things going on so I could not do it. For the sake of keeping peace within the household, I had to pass.
Clifford intake with a Holley 390, Fenton’s that bolt up to the heat plate, courtesy of my machinist friend. This is a very rare setup.
I just had a picture show up in my Facebook memories of that same one on the same silver tarp at Pate Swap Meet in 2022.
Not making it to Austin. It pulls real strong, just kind of jerky off idle. No parts no info Just adjusting float levels
This is interesting. I found it in a 1950 Newhouse catalog. Similar to the Harper idea. I've never seen one anywhere.
