If you put "straighten chrome bumper" in Google a lot comes up,kinda depends on how much it needs and what location on the bumper the repair is needed.Chrome shops usually have the proper jigs.

Depends on how bad it's bent and how good the chrome is .

Got any pictures ? That might help some .

I have seen people use acetelene torch. get the area hot and use a hammer to tap out the dent.

If you have access to a hydraulic press you might put a 4X4 block on the chrome side and find a dolly with about the right contour and cross your fingers and slowly give it a try.

I have had pretty good luck straigtening bumpers using blocks of wood and hammers, etc. At the cost of getting bumpers rechromed these days, anything you can do to avoid messing up the chrome is good...

Definitely google and have a read. Seems that the bumper shops would rather straighten them out themselves. I know this sounds self serving but they should know what they are doing. One bit of advice that keeps coming up is to remove all the chrome before you start straightening, bashing and welding. Seems that if you take a side grinder to the bumper to remove the chrome, it imbeds some of the chrome into the metal base which is a problem for the chromers.
i've got two bumpers sitting in my shop, both tweeked. I've had a go at them with a 4 lb hammer and wooden blocks. A press would be better. As mentioned before, you might have to make some "plugs" to form the bumper.
