    on a stock 235 what kind of carb would you use?
    i know i want around 300-400 cfm but does anyone have any personal experience with the motor?

    In high school in 1962 I had a 54 Chevy with a stock 235 6 and I put 2 -1 barrels on it and a split exhaust manifold. the thing ran better stock it was too much for it. Id go with a larger 1 barrel carb myself. 400 cfm, you have got to be kidding on a stock 235.

    One of the larger one barrells came on a 261 truck six. There is still some around etc......

    clifford performance recommends a 390 CFM holley for their intakes. you might want to check their web site out. www.cliffordperformance.net
