strange pic request

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Hubnut, Jul 30, 2007.

  1. Anyone got a decent pic of the charcoal gray Starliner (i think) that picked up Jimmy Shine at the end of Hollywood Knights? My vhs tape gets fussy when I pause it, and id really like a better shot of the wheels on that car.

  4. Yep...just ordinary five-slot "mags', like what was available from Ansen or U.S. Mag, among others. Polished, with center caps. :)

    Interesting trivia...

Considered one of the "bloopers" of the movie, the current year in the movie was 1965, but the car had Goodyear White-Lettered Polyglas tires, which were not available until 1969.

  6. Yeah...like the fact that the"rail job" (T-bucket) had a blown BBC...like any high school kid could have afforded to buy a spankin' new 396 in the crate & adapted a blower to it. :)

In that picture, it kind of looks like there are no center caps...on my DVD, it distinctly does appear to have them.

  7. Kool. Thanks guys...thats a perfect pic. I know what to look for now.
