Technical Strange Steering 61 Chevy

    Picked up my brothers 61 today after an engine change. We plan to complete the final touches later. Installed power steering fluid a few minutes before this video.
    I have a pretty good idea what’s happening.

     
  2. Lines are reversed or you still have air in there somewhere.

    I think the control valve needs adjustment.

    I believe you’re right Nick. At least that was my first guess.
    We started it up one more time for second and blew a line off that time.
    It could have broken a wrist it was so violent.
     
  5. I had the same happen on a RHD 64 Belair that I had just put a seal kit in. After I nearly broke my wrist on start-up, I worked out that the lines were reversed. And I figured out why, too. I only had a LHD diagram to refer to, so I assumed that the RHD set-up would just be a mirror image of the LHD job. And you know what they say happens if you assume something!
