Straps vs dzus fasteners

posted here the other day on which way to go on fastening my 29 A hood tops.straps are kool looking but dont have the funds right now, then i started looking at flush mount dzus, damn all the parts guys only have them in packages of ten. they dont come cheap neither. i dont need ten of everything i just need four! does any body have four laying around they dont need? thanks bmita

 

I would try a circle track supply store. I know our local one sells them individually.

 

Straps look cool..and you probably could make them cheap too..think "belt"
you go and buy a few 1" or 1.5" wide leather belts..measure them out to how long you need um.. take them to a Tac shop (place that sells stuff for horses) or a local boot shop..and have them sew the the loops in the ends.
buy the lower and upper U brackets..and yer done.
and you can say you did it yourself instead of buying some high priced kit.

Im not going to run hood sides on my A..and Im a cheap ******* so necessity brought that idea to my head about a week ago..im not really big on the teck week stuff..(as far as posting on it)
and i havent done it yet so i had no pictures to bring to the table..
when i do it..I'll post it than.
one thing cool to is..
you can find belts with designs already stamped in them..might add a touch of coolness too.
