Dewey Ok huh? I grew up in Southeast Kansas in the 60's. As young, dumb, and full of ....would have it, we used to go to Dewey to see the "Dewey Dirties". Yes sir, if you could put a quarter on the counter you could go into the movie house to see PORN FILMS. How strict are the Dewey police? Other than the SK500, I never have spent much time there. More to the point, I would like to know if I will get in trouble for showing up on Friday night and then crashing in the car for a few hours before Saturday morning? (I am a cheap ass, and don't have anyone to split a hotel room with.) I don't particularly relish the thought of heading back to Tulsa for a few hours of sleep. Ummm, never mind. I just remembered I have an ex-gf I am still on good terms with in B'ville. I can crash at her place. Looking forward to seeing everybody on Friday night.
steely, if ya can't stay with the ex, just go to the host motel and crash in the parking lot. no one will even notice 'cause there'll be a couple-o-hunnert folks partying outside all night. OR, you might party 'til daylight and then go over to the park/show and crash all day while us other participants walk by laughing at "the guy passed out in the back seat".
This year I'll try not to set the parking lot on Fire like in previous years. That dude in the chevelle didn't look to happy when he noticed that trail of fire behind my car as I passed by. I'm also suprised I didn't set lil mike on fire when he was standing in between the flame throwers. Although it was funny when he burn't half of his cigar up trying to lite it off my pipes. It doesn't seem that long ago that I was at the first stray kat.
Not to many people know that one of Dewey's nick names was the "Dewey dirties." I remember as a kid trying to figure it out why the family always drove to Bartlesville to watch movies instead of just staying in Dewey. Thanks for sharing.....Ha, Ha, Ha!!! Happy Trails, Mick
Looks like the dirty's are going for sure. Gonna head up as early as we can on Friday but probably gonna leave around 3 from Dallas. I am already getting pumped. Have not done much since the Roundup and I am ready to see some countryside in the Roadster. We will see all yall there!!
