I went 3 or 4 yrs ago and enjoyed myself. I'm going to try to make it next yr though. Fingers crossed! .
I went but so many take better pictures than I do that I don't any more. Perfect weather, great turnout, lots of new cars, at least new to me.
I showed up in the dirtiest hot rod at the event. I think it was about an hour before we left for Dewey when I decided which '40 I was taking and just never took the time to clean it up. I still had fun, despite the filthy forty.
@twotallokie took this pic of me when I was choosing a new parking spot on Saturday afternoon, after all the Tulsa crowd cleared out. As you can clearly see from the cowl and cowl vent, the car was FILTHY!
I was there Saturday but am also in the “didn’t take even one pic” crowd. There are two other threads that do have pics and video. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...ewey-oklahoma-5-6-2023.1292119/#post-14859002 https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/royboy-goes-to-the-stray-kat-500.1292155/
Yeah, back in the summer of 2018. Went with a "clay" colored vinyl sewn in the stock '40 pattern. I had all kinds of different ideas of what I thought would look cool. I wound up thinking they changed the character of the car too much, so I told Don to sew it up like stock.
