One of my favorite movies is coming on T.V. tonight. Streets of Fire. Good music, custom cars, motorcycles, Studebaker cop cars and bad acting. What more can you ask? Please don't try to figure it out. Where, when, why. It is a Rock and Roll Fable. Another place another time. Just pop a brusky or two or three, sit back and enjoy.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who loves that movie! Yes, the acting is bad, and yes, the story is weak, but the visuals are cool as hell right? The old cars/bikes, The Blasters, and lets not forget a young and hot Diane Lane....!
I watch it everytime it's on!!!!! You forgot about the BAD dialog!!!!! "They always get creeps like me for jobs like this...." It's really cheesy, but I love it!!!! Love the Merc...except for the taillights!!!! Should have left them stock!
Man, I bought the DVD for 2 bucks when Hollywood video went out. That movie is awesome (bad awesome that is)! O/T but Diane Lane is STILL hot!
Rick Moranis is the true star and ya got to love the Diner exterior. I think it was a set but some of the movie was done in Chicago, a cool city for architecture.
Another good one is Roadracer's Robert Rodriguez did it for HBO in '94... David Arquette and Salma Hayek in a poodle skirt.
Haven't heard of this one. I'd walk a mile to see Salma in anything. I liked all the music in Streets of Fire, but the whole deal is just great. Gary
I love this movie, saw it in the theatres when it was new. First time I saw Diane Lane, she was hot. Cars and bikes were cool, music was good.
