Looking for a solution for striping old paint on my car. It has been repainted a while ago, but at some places, paint is peeling and i would like to remove it completly until the original one.
buy some TAL-STRIP in the gallon bottle brush it on thick dont let it dry wait about 15-20 mins put on some gloves grab a scraper and a hose and watch old paint, thin bondo spots and alot of other stuff hit the ground will remove thick bondo also but takes multiple applications if you get it on your bare skin wash it off QUICK it burns like HELL
Tape over any seams and I tape off edges of door and fenders so the stripper doesn't get into hidden places so it doesn't come back to haunt you later. After you have all the stripper removed go back, remove the tape and sand off the remaining paint. Make sure your ware eye protection it burns like hell if it gets in your eyes even if there's a small amount remaining and you start to sand, even if it's dry.
36 grit on a BONDO BUSTER D.A. !!! Buy a box of PEEL & STICK abrasive ----They make them for a 9" grinder--buy a soft type pad to stick the sand paper to it !!! Paint Remover is a messy S.O.B.!!! The---- Dry method --works well---You can Blow the dust out----easier than the ---GOOOO--- out of the door jambs---vents----cracks---crevice ---+++++It Etches the Metal for primer adhesion !!!!!!!!!!!!!
