stroberg carbs

    i know this is going to sound stuped but years are stroberg 97 and 48s off ov

    I believe that "stroberg" 48s were used beginning in '34, and 97s were last used in '38. Flathead guys, correct me if I'm wrong.

    I think 36,37, and half of 38 but I'm not positive.

    Weren't 48s also used in '34? I know that '32-'33 engines had a Detroit one barrel, and that Ford went to a 2bbl. in '34.

    The '34 was actually a different model, Model 40 in the same Ford nomenclature that added the "48"...size and jetting same as 48, there was a difference in idle venting in the casting but I've never owned one to check out.
